Leopold Godowsky

February 13, 1870 - November 21, 1938
A Polish-American pianist, composer, and teacher, Leopold Godowsky was internationally recognized as a titan of the keyboard. As a composer, his is especially well known for his transcriptions and paraphrases for piano including Tango in D major (No.2) by Isaac Albéniz. He has also transcribed Moments musicaux No. 3 in F Minor by Franz Schubert.
