Friedrich “Fritz” Kreisler

February 2, 1875 - January 29, 1962
An amazing virtuoso, Friedrich “Frizt” Kreisler was one of the most famous violinists of his time. Many of his compositions for violin were originally attributed by Kreisler himself to other composers. Sergei Rachmaninoff was inspired to compose a paraphrase of Kreisler’s Liebesfreud for piano.
