Franz Liszt

November 22, 1811 - July 31, 1886
Possibly the greatest virtuoso pianist of all times, Franz Liszt was one of the most prominent and influential musicians of the 19th century. Known as both a playboy as well as a deeply spiritual man who was later ordained as a priest, Liszt profoundly influenced contemporary composers and trained some of the most important pianists of the next generation.
