César Franck

December 10, 1822 - November 8, 1890
Born in the country now known as Belgium, César Franck spent his adult life in Paris as an organist, pianist, composer, and teacher. A composer of Romantic music, Franck is known for his contrapuntal writing, quite possibly influenced by his work as a church organist.
