Alban Maria Johannes Berg

February 9, 1885 - December 24, 1935
An Austrian composer, Alban Berg is generally considered to be a member of the Second Viennese School, along with Arnold Schoenberg and Anton Webern. Although his early compositions paid homage to the spirit of the late romantic era, Berg ultimately embraced twelve-tone compositional techniques.
