MIM, Yamaha Team on Broadcasting High-Tech Concerts

A high-tech player piano at Phoenix's Musical Instrument Museum is streaming its sold-out, eclectic performances into piano owners’ homes through a unique partnership with Yamaha Corp. of America.

The MIM is the first third-party organization to collect and stream these original live performances for Yamaha.

The technology of the Disklavier piano, provided by Yamaha, records audio of artists’ piano performances in MIM’s 299-seat Music Theater as they are playing on the piano. Up to four cameras capture the artists while they perform.
