For those of you who don't know me: I grew up at Walt Disney World. Literally.
While most families took annual or even bi-annual trips to the resort, my family moved there when I was 9. I can sing every long-forgotten attraction song (even the ones played in the queues), tell you who arranged and orchestrated every firework show, and have grown to become friends and colleagues with my heros of that musical legacy.
Congratulations to the Sydney Conservatorium
, the first institution in Australia to purchase a DCFX Disklavier Concert Grand! Yamaha Australia reports
that Dr Robert Curry, Principal of the Conservatorium High School, travelled to Yamaha's factory in Japan earlier this year and chose the Disklavier for its many educational possibilties, including remote learning opportunities. The piano will be launched officially in late July featuring Stephanie McCallum
(Associate Professor of Piano, Sydney Conservatorium of Music), and special guest recitals performed live from London and Seoul.

Disklavier and music technology experts from across North America for an inspiring two-day summit at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. The event takes place July 12-13, 2014. Presenters and keynote speakers include Mario Ajero, Shana Kirk, Stella Branzburg, George Litterst, Janet Lopinski, and Royal Conservatory pedagogues.
